All Smiles for Justin Jefferson after a record-setting extension | Source: USA Today
NFL - đ¤ The J.J. Pay Day - Vikings WR Justin Jefferson Inks Largest Non-QB Contract in NFL History (4 Years, $140 Million)
After drafting J.J. McCarthy in the 1st Round of Aprilâs NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings have two JJs on offense. Whether McCarthy or Sam Darnold starts Week 1 remains to be seen, but their No. 1 target should be a happy camper when that day comes. Vikings WR Justin Jefferson inked a record-setting 4-year, $140 million extension on Monday morning. It includes $110 million guaranteed. That $35 million annual mark breaks the record for the most money given to a non-quarterback position. Nick Bosa (49ers) set the mark last September (5 years, $170 million). The news ends a potential holdout saga that wouldâve crushed the Vikingsâ offensive firepower. Jefferson announced the news on social media: âThe deal I have been waiting for since I was a little kid.â
Jettaâs HOF Trajectory
Jefferson (a.k.a. Jetta) reset the receiver market for good reason. In just four seasons since he was selected with the No. 22 pick in the 2020 draft, heâs received three Pro Bowl nods. Jeffersonâs 5,899 receiving yards since 2020 ranks second to only Dolphinsâ WR Tyreek Hill (6,024 yards), and itâs the most by any player in his first four seasons. His 1,500 yards-per-season pace would put him top-5 at the end of a 10-year career. Hall of Fame numbersâŚ

5. Jaylen Waddle (MIA): $28.25M / Year
